I have been testing away on a new pair of pants lately that I have fallen in love with! The GreenStyle Chelsea Pants have just released and I am so excited to share my favorite pair with you! These pants are designed for a stable knit (something with little stretch) fabric making them perfect for all of the refined ponte and jegging fabric I have been hoarding in my stash the last couple of months as I not so patiently waited to fall to get here. I have been especially loving this new pattern because of the extra flared leg and front style lines which make this short girl look ten feet tall, something I will never get enough of! I have been making “jeans” quite a bit lately so I wanted to take this pattern in a completely different direction than the “date night” style that I believe it was originally intended to be and ended up with the most comfortable, on trend, and flattering “dress pants” ever! I used a tweed look ponte from Joann Fabric’s new fall line and it is actually THE most amazing fabric for pants that I have ever used. Stable knits, who knew right?!The pattern has three rise options and I used the mid rise version for this pair which is just the right height for tucking in a shirt and still keeping the tummy in check (because literally nothing is worse for me that wearing pants that cut me off right in the middle of my tum and create the dreaded muffin top).
Other features I absolutely adore (because of course there are more!) are the uniquely shaped pockets and the dipped back waist band, which together bring all of the attention to my booty and give these simple and quick to make pants even more interest and personality.
These have been in constant rotation since I finished them and I have another “jean” pair (I literally cant stop myself sometimes, sorry not sorry) in the works for a more casual look!
